Jacobs Ladder and the 8 Steps Ladder of Conversion (1st Peter 1:4-8)

Names of the 8 Steps on the ladder toward conversion, based on 1 Peter 1:4-8.

1. Faith

2. Virtue

3. Knowledge

4. Temperance

5. Patience

6. Godliness

7. Brotherly Kindness

8. Charity

Now, realize that, Jacob was on his way to Padanaram, and he went to sleep. Then, he had the dream of the ladder from Earth to Heaven. Read Genesis Chapter 28:12-22. The 8 Step Ladder of Conversion, Read 2 Peter 1:4-8.

Jacob connived aka conned) to get the birthright from his brother Esau(which he despised in the first place). He and his mother, Rebecca, connived to get the blessing from his father Isaac. Being a con-artist is wrong but, in this case GOD respected these methods because, of Esau's rejection of his birthright. The dream was showing Jacob, he had to connected with heaven, to be converted.

The 8 Step Ladder for Conversion, 2 Peter 1:5, You can not make step 2-Virtue (pleasing GOD) without step 1-Faith. Hebrews 11:6, "Without Faith it is impossible to please GOD". In your spare time read Hebrews Chapter 11. Paul said in Romans 10:17,"Faith comes by hearing the word of GOD." Some religious leaders, skips virtue as unimportant and goes straight to knowledge. What they do, is cause a shipwreck worst than the Titanic without survivors. In the meantime their members of the church feel spiritually correct (converted) yet, they are spiritually incorrect (unconverted). When around anyone they cause nothing but misery to the converted. The minister has head knowledge (college degrees)first but, no knowledge of GOD. There is nothing wrong with having a college degree (GOD does not measure knowledge by degrees), provided it do not rule your life. He gives to all men liberally who ask. Some Christians, feel that when joining any secret society or fraternity or sorority and receiving a degree is alright with GOD. Are they really alright with HIM? We will discuss this subject in depth at a later date.

In the meantime, we will continue on the topic of the 8 Step Ladder. In Genesis 5:19-24, Enoch walked with GOD and he was not not for GOD took him. In other words Enoch walked away with GOD. Genesis 17:1,Abram when he was 99 years old GOD said to him, walk with be and be ye perfect. In fact there is no special age to begin walking with GOD. Matthews 3:17, Matthews 12:18 and many scriptures show Jesus obeyed GOD.

Now for VIRTUE which is HOLINESS/RIGHTEOUSNESS

Please, read prayerfully the entire chapter of Romans 7.

In Romans 3: 20-27, Connects Faith and Virtue (holiness/rightesousness) together. Realize, when one receives a seal from a person in authority. That stamped seal on the document is elevated from the page. You can not remove that seal no matter what. You can burn the document yet, its already recorded by the one in authority in the Book of Records. Remember, GOD also has books which are untouchable/unchangeable.

1 Samuel 10:3-6, "Then shall thou go on forward from thence, and thou shalt come to the Plain of Tabor and there shall meet thee three men going up to God to Bethel, one carrying three kids, and another carrying three loaves of bread, and another carrying a bottle of wine: and they will salute thee, and give thee two loaves of bread; which thou shalt receive of their hands. After that thou shall come to the hill of God where is the garrison of the Philistines: and it shall come to pass, when thou art come thither to the city, that thou shall meet a company of prophets coming down from the high place with a psaltery, and a tabret, and a pipe, and a harp, before them: and they shall prophesy: And the Spirit of the Lord will come upon thee, and thou shalt prophesy with them, and shalt be turned into another man. " Samuel told Saul that he would meet three men on his way to Bethel (House of God). Verse 6, implies that Saul would become converted in other words his life will change. See Genesis 29:19-22.

Jeremiah 18:1-4, "The word which came to Jeremiah from the Lord, saying, Arise and go down to the potter's house, and there I will cause thee to hear my words. And I went down to the potter's house, and, behold, he wrought a work on the wheels.  And the vessel that he made of clay was marred in the hand of the potter: so he made it again another vessel as seemed good to the potter to make it." These scriptures show how the Potter took the same clay which was marred and made it better. Remember, when Adam and Eve was first formed by GOD they were perfect. Yet, when they sinned their character became marred. Read Genesis 2:6-10; 3:1-14.  And prayerfully concentrate on Psalm 19:7-14. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OHQa4t7pSuI

Psalms 29:1-2

The 3rd step on our ladder is Knowledge

Without Virtue, KNOWLEDGE can be disasterous Frown

Jeremiah 9:23-24,"Thus saith the LORD, Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, neither let the mighty man glory in his might, let not the rich man glory in his riches: But let him that glorieth glory in this, that he understandeth and knoweth me, that I am the LORD which exercise lovingkindness, judgment, and rightesousness, in the earth: for in these things I delight saith the LORD. "

In these verses the LORD warns that knowledge without virtue can be very disasterous;  for our journey to the heavenly Caanan. A person without Faith and Virtue can be egotistical or swellheaded.  Since, that person is miserable themselves makes others around them that way also.

1 Corinthians 8:1, "Now as touching things offered unto idols, we know that we all have knowledge.  Knowledge puffeth up, but charity edifieth." Realize, this verse verifies one being swellheaded/hard to get along with.  So therefore, we should especially should get faith, then virtue before getting knowledge.

And, now we continue reading,  1 Corinthians 8:2, "And if any man think that he knoweth any thing, he knoweth nothing yet as he ought to know".  This is referring to an unconverted person with a swell head,  in other words an egotistical person.  He or she feels they are with all knowledge by saying,  "no one can tell them anything' or "get out of my face I know everything".  This person who thinks he knows everything, does not know GOD. So, this person is unknown to GOD.

Now to verse 3, "But if any man love God, the same is known of him." This person knows and  love GOD, which is the real knowledge to have.

1 Corinthians 2:1-2, "And I, brethren, when I came to you not with excellency of speech or of wisdom, declaring unto you the testimony of God. For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ and him crucified." Paul, studied at the feet of Gamaliel, went to schools of high learning, and he spoke to the people with words they understood.  Remember the story of the boy who went to college for 3 semesters. He did not learn what a star is plus, realize he knew nothing else.  And the third semester he said, "Twinkle, twinkle little I don't know what you are."

Also read Jeremiah 9:22-24 for clearification.

Next, on the ladder is TEMPERANCE

Please read Genesis, Chapter 3, talks about the INTEMPERANCE of man. You will see from reading that chapter, man was intemperant when eating the fruit GOD forbidden him to eat. The consequences of it THE Pattern of MAN (MAN/WOMAN) was put out of the Garden. Genesis Chapter 4: 19, speaks about INTEMPERANCE of Lemach to marry 2 wives (Adah/Zillah). Plus, he killed Cain his grandfather & his own son Tubal-Cain. Read further the emphasis in verse 23-24.  Please read verses 19-26 to get the entire understanding. Note: If you are a polygamist, you are following the pattern of an irrational person name Lamach. Realize, GOD did not sanction him to marry two women. 1st Corinthians 7:1-2.  And note the woman at the well, a polyandrist had 6 husbands. Please, read John 4:1-42. Realize, fornication is fornication, whether its a male (polygamist) or female(polyandrist).

Genesis 16: 1, speaks about the INTEMPERANCE of Abram aka Abraham. Sarah gave Abraham permission to go into Hagar, not GOD. Read all of Chapter 16 to see the consequences of this situation. Go to Genesis chapter 21, showing how Sarah wants Hagar and abraham's son Ishmael put ot the house.  And Abraham, cried to GOD for help. GOD said, "you did not ask me before for advice, so why come to me now." Genesis 21:1. Note: Chapter Genesis 21: verse 4, shows how Abraham circumcised Isaac at 8 days old.  And the rest of the male household was circumcised, his son Ishmael at 13 years old and Abraham at 99 years old got circumcised together. Realize, Lamech was the first polygamist and was of no nation. He also killed Cain and his own son Tubal-Cain. Genesis 4:19-24.

Realize, Jacob was tricked by Laban while intoxicated. Laban sent Leah into Jacob's tent instead of Rachel. Note: Jacob already met Rachel at the well and fell in love with her. Please read, Genesis Chapters 29-30.  And from all this Jacob told Pharo how his life has been full of sorrow and trouble. Realize, 10 boys and 4 women are trouble, lol. Read, Genesis 47:7-10

More Polygamists-fornicators: 1st Samuel 1:8-28, 2nd Samuel 3:2-5, 1st Kings 11:1-11.

Please read, Jeremiah 6:2, talks about the Daughter of Zion as a delicate and comely woman is the Church.  And Isaiah 4:1, is not promoting polygamous relationships. It speaks how the 7 Stages of the Church, are disobedient but want to be called Christians without being obedient to the teachings of JESUS. The proof of that scripture, is Revelation Chapters 2 & 3. To settle the whole argument on any form of fornication, ( polygamy, polyandry, homosexuality, lesbianism, beastiality, same sex marriage etc. ) please read 1Corinthians 7:2, "Nevertheless, to avoid fornication let every man have his own wife and every woman her own husband" Also read Leviticus 18:22, Romans 1:26-27.

Gluttony and Drunkeness also forms of intemperance.

Read Deuteronomy 21:18-21, this method was used to rid the nation of intemperance. Deuteronomy 29:6, Leviticus 10:9, Proverbs 23: 20-21, Proverbs 23:29-35, 2 Timothy 3:1-3, Ephesians 5:18.

Next on the ladder is PATIENCE

Please, read Matthew 18:21-35 which is an enample of inpatience.  These verses means one must have patience with a person's shortcomings, just as you want others to have patience with yours. When asking for patience expect tribulation to exist. Why? Because tribulation puts patience to work.  Also read Colossians 1:10-11.

Next on the ladder is GODLINESS aka HOLINESS

Please read Hebrews 12:14. Also read 1 Peter 1:16

In conclusion, remember these words from GOD, read Exodus 19:1-7.

Next on the ladder is BROTHERLY KINDNESS

Please read Galatians 6:10, Ephesians 4:15-16.

Last but definitely not least on the ladder is CHARITY.

Please read 1st Corinthians Chapter 13. Remember, another word for CHARITY is LOVE.

Now, sing this song with your children  http://www.turnbacktogod.com/praise-him-all-ye-little-children-song/

Praise HIM, Praise HIM All Ye Little Children.

2nd Peter 1:8-9,

For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins.
